Accessibility Statement
HA Fragrances is committed to making our online store usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification, or other assistive technology.
Conformance target
We are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA as our technical standard. We describe this as our target rather than a guarantee of conformance; some third-party content and apps embedded in our store are outside our direct control.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML structure with landmarks and a logical heading hierarchy.
- A skip-to-content link and full keyboard operation with a visible focus indicator.
- Accessible names on icon controls, form fields, and navigation.
- Status and error messages announced through live regions.
- Text that reflows at 400% zoom and touch targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels.
- Respect for the operating system's reduced-motion preference.
- No third-party accessibility overlay — issues are fixed in the code itself. We do offer built-in Accessibility settings (available in the header and footer) with optional display preferences: text size (default, larger, largest), readable text spacing, a higher-contrast theme, underlined links and reduced motion, plus a reset. These preferences are stored only in your browser, are never sent to us, and do not change how screen readers read the site.
Known limitations
- Shopify's hosted checkout, customer accounts and some embedded apps (chat, reviews, privacy opt-out) are provided by third parties and are not fully under our control. The Accessibility settings above apply to this storefront and do not automatically carry over to those pages; your browser's own zoom and system settings still do.
- The Accessibility settings are optional display preferences. They are not an ADA certification and do not by themselves guarantee compliance.
- Some product images use supplier-provided alternative text that we are still reviewing for accuracy and usefulness.
Reporting an accessibility barrier
If you encounter a barrier on our site, please tell us and we will work to resolve it. Include the page address and a description of the problem.

Assessment approach
This site is evaluated with a combination of automated testing (axe / Lighthouse) and manual checks covering keyboard-only navigation, focus order, form errors, menus, product selection, add-to-cart, and the handoff to checkout.
Feedback and ongoing work
Accessibility is ongoing work rather than a one-time project. Automated testing cannot replace periodic manual testing with assistive technology, and this statement is not a certification or a legal compliance guarantee. We welcome reports of barriers on any part of the store, including third-party services, and we will pass on issues we cannot fix ourselves to the provider concerned.
